Lady Gaga fans are begging the singer to do a global tour - two years after her last tour, The Chromatica Ball. The pop superstar, 38, is preparing to release her seventh album, with fans hoping this will lead to a string of concerts.  However, a Live Nation spokesperson confirmed: 'There is no 2025 tour planned.' The Sun reports that Lady Gaga will instead tour in 2026. It comes as the hitmaker is set to release her new song Disease on Friday, as the first single from her forthcoming seventh album. There is something reassuringly robust about The Punch Bowl Inn. Not just in the old-fashioned bar, where the Wainwright Gold is well kept and a huge leather sofa sits before a blazing wood burner; or in the dining room, solid and comfortable, with its old beams, well-trodden wooden floors and tables unadorned with cloths; it's in the menu, too, mainly British with a Gallic burr, that makes full use of the magnificent local Lake District larder. Stornoway black pudding with crispy egg and bubble and squeak: ‘pure Cumbrian comfort by way of Lewis', is Tom's verdict We're here with Peter Gott, that great Cumbrian hero, and the man behind Sillfield Farm, who has invited me up to cook at the Westmorland County Show; also chef Phil Vickery, who certainty knows his alliums; and the force of nature that is Lorraine Stanton, something of a legend around these parts. But first dinner, and a sublime twice-baked Mrs Kirkham's cheese soufflé, the texture as light as a sigh, the flavour profoundly, lasciviously rich. Mrs Kirkham's, now made by her son Graham, is one of the world's great cheeses, and this is a soufflé of quiet majesty. A mushroom soup is equally splendid, managing to be both light and gutsy, while Stornoway black pudding with bubble and squeak and a deep-fried egg is pure Cumbrian comfort by way of Lewis. There's a fundamental generosity here, matched by assured technical precision. Duck à l'orange sees a plump breast cooked rare, the skin crisp, the sauce just the right side of bitter. It comes with a fat potato fondant and cabbage spiked with shards of smoked bacon. I eat rump of lamb, four vast just-pink slices, drenched in the stickiest, most gloriously intense of gravies; by its side, a tiny shepherd's pie, one bite of pure ovine brilliance. Puddings are every bit as fine: a lemon tart, beautifully sharp, with damson sorbet (this part of the Lake District is famed for its damsons); along with a banana soufflé, this time the classic version but ethereal, served with vanilla ice cream and a pot of sticky-toffee sauce to pour deep into its molten centre. This is good old-fashioned food, immaculately done, in the sort of pub designed for lingering. It's getting late now, and we've an early start. But first, another bottle of wine. Dinners like this are too rare to be rushed. About £45 per head. The Punch Bowl Inn, Crosthwaite, Cumbria; the-punchbowl.co.uk ★★★★✩

Smile 2 - starring Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage and Jack Nicholson's son Ray - emerged as the winner after a horror movie box office showdown. The fright flick eclipsed hot contender Terrifier 3 for the top spot. The Smile sequel starring Scott, 31,  as a pop star who begins experiencing terrifying and inexplicable events as she prepares for a world tour, opened wide in more than 3,600 theaters, pulling in a payday of $23 million. Ray, whose mom is Nicholson's former partner Rebecca Broussard, shocked fans with an eerie grin in the new movie, which was near-identical to the Oscar-winner's maniacal smile as Jack Torrance in the 1980 Stanley Kubrick classic, The Shining. In a legendary scene, an insane Jack hacks at a bathroom door with an axe as his cowering wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) screams inside. As he busts a hole in the door, he sticks his face through, grins and exclaims: 'Here's Johnny!' in an improvised line. The original Smile, released in September 2022, and starring Sosie Bacon, was a sleeper hit, which was well received and earned $217, 408,513 globally. Smile 2 has received a 83-percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 83-percent Popcornmeter rating from audiences.  Smile 2 stars Jack Nicholson's son Ray (left). The Joker's real identity was revealed in Folie à Deux's 'brutal ending' - and it's not who you think.  Identity confusion is the theme throughout the entire film, as the title suggests, but the ending of the second instalment may leave some fans surprised.  Following on from 2019's psychological thriller from director Todd Phillips, Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as clown Arthur Fleck who has descended into mental illness.  Folie à Deux begins with Arthur behind bars in Arkham Asylum, waiting to see whether he will be judged sane enough to stand trial for the murders he committed two years prior.    In the meantime he is enjoying his celebrity status with fellow prisoners and even the warders, one of whom, a sadistic Irishman played by Brendan Gleeson, feeds him cigarettes in return for jokes. Eventually, after Arthur's high-profile TV appearance with a smug interviewer played by Steve Coogan, it is time for the trial, with all of Gotham gripped by the subject of multiple personality disorder.  His lawyer (Catherine Keener) strives to show that Joke is accused of five murders, rather than Arthur. Lee just as urgently wants him to identify as his demonic alter ego.  In the final scenes, Arthur renounces his Joker alter-ego and is found guilty of first-degree murder. As he is being sentenced a car bomb detonates outside the court, with two people helping Arthur escape, but he is later caught by the police and taken back to Arkham.  In the Asylum a young patient begins to tell Arthur a joke, before stabbing him in the stomach and while he bleeds to death, carves a smile into his own face.  It raises questions surrounding the Joker's true identity, as it would seem he never went on to become the famed villain, instead he was just the person who inspired the man who eventually became him.  Folie à Deux begins with Arthur behind bars in Arkham Asylum, waiting to see whether he will be judged sane enough to stand trial for the murders he committed two years prior However, in the final scenes a young patient begins to tell Arthur a joke, before stabbing him in the stomach and while he bleeds to death, carves a smile into his own face It raises questions surrounding the Joker's identity, as it would seem he never went on to become the villain, instead he was just the person who inspired the man who became him Director Todd, told Entertainment Weekly: 'When those guards kill that kid in the [hospital] he realises that dressing up in makeup, putting on this thing, it's not changing anything.  'In some ways, he's accepted the fact that he's always been Arthur Fleck; he's never been this thing that's been put upon him, this idea that Gotham people put on him, that he represents.  'He's an unwitting icon. Hamas' leader Yahya Sinwar could have given an order to execute all the hostages who remain in Gaza if he died, a top Israeli negotiator has claimed.  Sinwar died on Wednesday after the IDF encountered him by chance, sending a drone to kill the terror leader.  Gershon Baskin, the Israeli negotiator who oversaw Sinwar's 2011 release from an Israeli prison, along with 1,026 Palestinian prisoners, in exchange for the return of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shilat, said that his death was a 'moment of either opportunity or a moment of doom.' 'A moment of doom because there are rumours that Sinwar instructed people holding hostages that, should he be killed, they should kill their hostages,' he told the Telegraph.  At the time of Sinwar's death, just over 100 hostages remained in Gaza, with 60 thought to still be alive.  Those who remain alive are at risk of never being returned to their families, according Haaretz, which reported on Sunday that top US officials, including Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, have assessed there is a slim chance of a deal being brokered, given the tensions between Israel and Hamas.  Sinwar (pictured) died on Wednesday after the IDF encountered him by chance, sending a drone to kill the terror leader Protesters attend a demonstration against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government and demand a deal to release all hostages held in Gaza, during the Israel-Hamas conflict, near Netanyahu's private residence in Jerusalem June 20 People protest against the government, to demand a ceasefire deal and the immediate release of hostages kidnapped during the deadly October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas, in Tel Aviv, Israel A senior Israeli official told the newspaper on Sunday, several days after Sinwar's passing: 'There are currently no serious cease-fire talks, and Blinken is fully aware of this.' Read More Child among four killed and dozens injured after IDF airstrike near Lebanon's biggest hospital They added: 'It's unclear how Sinwar's death will impact any potential negotiations, if they even exist at this stage.' While Baskin told the Telegraph that it wasn't possible to confirm whether Sinwar had a kill order on the hostages, he said the rumours ought to be taken seriously, given how little Hamas appears to care for them.  He cited the horrific killing of six hostages in tunnels under Rafah in late August.  Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said the six were 'cruelly murdered by Hamas just a short time before we got to them.' The six dead hostages were identified as Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Carmel Gat, 39, Almog Sarusi, 26, Alex Lubnov, 26, Ori Danino, 25, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23.   Five of those who were recovered had been attending the Nova music festival when Hamas terrorists began slaughtering festivalgoers, while taking others hostage. Gat was at her family kibbutz when she was captured. The time on the clock by the end of the footage is 1.32am, just five hours before the first terrorists were spotted breaching into Israeli territory This is the moment Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's wife is spotted seemingly holding a $32, 000 bag in the tunnel leading to his secret lair Footage of his wife seems to show her entering the tunnel to the lair, carrying a Birkin bag, the day before the horrendous tragedy. She is seen appearing to smile at the camera People pass by a newly painted graffiti depicting Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar, days after he was killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 Goldberg-Polin lost his arm when a grenade exploded during the carnage. 'In order to encourage them to do that, Israel should also be reaching out to Egypt and Qatar and tell them to renew the negotiations quickly, not on the deal that's been negotiated without success for almost four months, but on a deal that would bring the hostages home quicker and would obviously require Israel to end the war.' [It] was because we're occupying another people for 56 years without enabling them to ever believe that they're going to be free, or locking two million people in Gaza under poverty and telling them that they'll never be able to leave Gaza.' 'Right or wrong, the armed struggle primarily brings death and destruction.' He added: 'Every person living between the river and the sea must have the same right to the same rights. The original Smile, released in September 2022, and starring Sosie Bacon, was a sleeper hit, which was well received and earned $217,408,513 globally. US pop star Lady Gaga has taken on a track known best to Aussies as the opening theme to the iconic comedy series Kath & Kim. The song, originally written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley for the 1964 stage musical The Roar Of The Greasepaint - The Smell Of The Crowd, is performed by Gaga for her film Joker: Folie à Deux. To most Australians, it is the bold and brassy version sung by Gina Riley, who also plays Kimberly Diane 'Kim' Craig (née Day) in the legendary comedy. Before being immortalised in to the fabric of Australian pop culture, thanks to Gina's  rendition, the song had been covered by the likes of Shirley Bassey in 1968 and Sammy Davis Jr in 1965. And now, the Born This Way hitmaker has taken a stab at the track - with the results markedly different to the brassy feel of the Kath & Kim version. Gaga's take, which also features on her new album Harlequin, is a much more  stripped back that builds to a crescendo thanks to rocking guitars. Speaking to Today Extra about the track, Kath & Kim star Peter Rowsthorn joked that he was 'constantly' hounded by the US pop star regarding the track. 'She's constantly calling me, so I know she's a big fan,' Pete, who play's Kim's on-again-off-again husband Brett in the series, said.  US pop star Lady Gaga has taken on a track known best to Aussies as the theme tune to the iconic comedy series Kath & Kim for her film Joker: Folie à Deux 'I said to Gaga, "If you want to do it, it's up to you. 'I believe the Gina Riley version, or the "Kim" version, is the better version.'  The Today Show posted a short clip featuring the Gaga's version over the Kath and Kim title sequence to Instagram and viewers were quick to issue their shock at the surprising cover version. 'Who cares about Shirley it's iconic because it's the Kath and Kim theme song,' they wrote. 'I have a fantasy about, like, seeing my partner f*** someone else,' she told News Corp. 'But I think I know in my heart that I don't actually want to see it. I just want to talk about it like, that's something that I find hot. 'But in reality, would I want to see that? Maybe, probably not.' Lady Gaga is 'disappointed' at the immense flood of negative reactions to Joker: Folie à Deux, with the singer's team now keen to quickly push out other projects to help distract from the furor over the film, insiders claim. Todd Phillips‘ sequel was officially released in theaters on October 4, but despite expectations, it bombed, raking in just under $40 million at the domestic box office, and receiving the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history. Gaga, 38, is reportedly confused at the lack of love for her turn as Harleen Lee Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn, alongside Joaquin Phoenix, 49, as the Joker - a role that won him the best actor Oscar in 2019 - in the wake of the standing ovation it received at the Venice Film Festival last month. 'Gaga is surprised by the response to Joker 2 and is shocked that people don't love it after the response it received from critics before it premiered,' a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.  'She put so much heart into the movie and has so much respect for the DC comics fan base.' Lady Gaga is 'disappointed' at the immense flood of negative reactions to Joker: Folie à Deux  They added: 'Her team is quietly looking at other projects they can roll out as they want to move on this from as quickly as possible.' But despite the lackluster reception from fans, a second source claimed she is not letting it deter her from returning to the big screen, with the singer said to be eyeing up a Quentin Tarantino movie. 'She is disappointed that Joker is pretty much a bomb,' they said.  'She thought that this film could get her an Oscar nomination, especially since the first film was such a success and Joaquin won an Oscar. 'She would now like to land a role in Quentin Tarantino's next and final film. Nobody knows what that is going to be, but she wants to audition.  'She's going to lobby hard to get a meeting with him once a script is presented, it is a bucket list moment for her to be involved.' Tarantino was set to create The Movie Critic which would have been his tenth and final film, but on April 17, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the project was canceled. The famed director is now believed to be working up a new project to mark his final cinematic release. The singer's team is now keen to push out other projects to help distract from the backlash, insiders have told DailyMail.com Joker: Folie à Deux has flopped at the box office, with the psychological musical thriller also landing the lowest CinemaScore for a comic book movie Gaga, real name is Stefani Germanotta, is hoping the Joker 2 flop will just be a small blip in her career, after the film received a D rating on CinemaScore — the lowest score for a comic book movie.  Madame Web — which notably also flopped in theaters earlier this year and also received terrible reviews — holds the higher score of C+. Joker notably opened with $96.2 million on its theater release in 2019 and eventually took a little over $1 billion in the global box office.  The first movie - which was also directed by Phillips - had a budget of between $55 and $70 million. However, the budget more than doubled to around $200 million for Folie À Deux.  The sequel screened during the Venice International Film Festival last month, where it earned a 12-minute standing ovation, per Deadline.    It had been projected to bring in around $70 million - but the number drastically dropped amid mixed reviews before release.  Audiences have since shared their opinions on the sequel, which features multiple musical sequences.  'Joaquin Phoenix don't deserve this,' wrote one on X. 'What happened to the script?' Another user added: 'Stop making sequels as musicals if the original wasn't a musical.'  An insider told DailyMail.com: 'Gaga is surprised by the response to Joker 2 and is shocked that people don't love it after the response it received from critics before it premiered' 'Joker downfall really needs to be studied,' shared a third, along with a monkey staring out a window.  One fan branded it 'bad,' adding:' It was pretentious and dull. Has the aesthetic of an arthouse film without the substance. 'It also insults the audience's intelligence. the songs were also underwhelming too. They shouldn't have let this escape to theaters.'  Another said: 'The audience that loved the first movie is not the same audience running to see musicals. This was a gigantic mistake from step 1.'  Many social media users have also slammed the movie's final scene, which saw Phoenix's Arthur Fleck brutally stabbed to death by a fellow inmate who could in fact by the real Joker. But others did jump in in defense of the film, with one hailing it 'amazing.' '100% as divisive as people are making it out to be,' they continued. 'I love that the film didn't try to be a traditional sequel, and fully committed to the storytelling they presented. It never deviated to be a film full of Easter eggs or any other crowd pleasing aspects.' Another user said: 'I kinda loved Joker 2. I loved how it was structured as a meta-exploration of the first film's fandom and the musical elements were a lot of fun.' Another source explained: 'Gaga thought that this film could get her an Oscar nomination' (pictured director Todd Phillips, Gaga and Phoenix in September) The insider explained: 'She would now like to land a role in Quentin Tarantino's next and final film' One user claimed the film is 'getting universal hate despite being more interesting and creative than anything marvel has done in years is expected.' 'Joker 2 is genuinely such a clever movie which carries the character study format of the first movie into the second in a way which, surprisingly, will floor you by the end,' declared another. 'I'm astounded reception is this bad because this is SUCH a clever movie.' A video of Gaga and Phoenix's awkward reaction to being asked if Folie à Deux was 'everything they expected' went viral amid the backlash. For a few seconds, the two stars sat in silence as they both waited for the other to answer the question. 'Tell them how you feel, Joaquin,' Gaga said to her costar as she held out a fake microphone in front of him. 'It's so hard to talk about but I think we feel like we achieved what we set out to do,' he replied.

The cost for one of London's most pricey apartments will begin at £35million - with 600 megarich customers already securing a spot on the waiting list. Pricing details of billionaire John Caudwell's spectacular 1 Mayfair development have now been revealed and only those with the deepest pockets can hope to afford one of the lavish pads. The cheapest apartment on offer is expected to be an eye-watering 35million - around 70 times the average cost of a house in the capital. Due to complete in Spring 2026 the scheme will easily surpass London's previous record breaker, the £1.3billion One Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge. Caudwell told The Standard that there are already over 600 prospective buyers on a waiting list of billionaires and centi-millionaires who have expressed an interest in making a purchase at the scheme. There will be just 24 'principal residences' in the property including lateral apartments, penthouses and townhouses with up to five bedrooms, and five more smaller 'pieds-à-terre' apartments. The size of the homes has not yet been disclosed but the developers say even the most modest property will start with a guide price exceeded by only a handful of mansions in London's richest neighbourhoods.  The cost of London's most pricey apartments will begin at £35million - with 600 megarich customers already securing a spot on the waiting list. Do Greens and crossbenchers who claim that transparency and integrity is at the heart of their reason for entering Parliament in the first place hear themselves? In the past few days they have mounted self-serving arguments against proposed electoral reforms that the major parties look set to come together to support. The reforms include caps for how much money wealthy individuals can donate, caps on the amount candidates can spend in individual electorates to prevent the equivalent of an arms race, and a $90million limit on what any party can spend at an election - actually less than the major parties currently spend. The proposed new laws also include lower disclosure thresholds for donations, thus increasing the transparency of who makes political donations in the first place. So the wealthy wont be able to hide behind anonymity while using their cash to influence election outcomes - and the extent to which they can use their wealth at all will be limited. The bill will further improve transparency by also increasing the speed and frequency that disclosures of donations need to be made. At present we have the absurd situation in which donations get made - but you only find out the details of who has given what to whom many months later, well after elections are won and lost. In other words, what is broadly being proposed will result in much greater transparency and far less big money being injected into campaigning by the wealthy. Teal Kylea Tink claimed the major parties were 'running scared' with the policy and warned the reform would 'not stop the rot'  Greens senate leader Larissa Waters (left) fired a warning shot - saying if it serves only the major parties 'it's a rort, not reform'. Teal independent ACT senator David Pocock (right) said: 'What seems to be happening is a major-party stitch-up' Anyone donating more than $1,000 to a political party, as opposed to $16,000 under the current rules, will need to disclose having done so. And how much they can donate will be capped. Yet the Greens and Teals have quickly condemned the proposed new laws, labeling them a 'stitch-up', 'outrageous' and 'a rort, not a reform'.  They have lost their collective minds after finding out that Labor's proposal just might secure the support of the opposition. I had to double check who was criticising what exactly before even starting to write this column. Because I had assumed - incorrectly - that these important transparency measures stamping out the influence of the wealthy must have been proposed by the virtue-signalling Greens or the corruption-fighting Teals, in a united crossbench effort to drag the major parties closer to accountability. More fool me. The bill, designed to clean up a rotten system, is being put forward by Labor and is opposed by a growing cabal of crossbenchers. It makes you wonder what they have to hide. Put simply, the Greens and Teals doth protest too much on this issue. Labor is thought to be trying to muscle out major political donors such as Clive Palmer Another potential target of the laws is businessman and Teal funder Simon Holmes à Court The Greens have taken massive donations in the past, contrary to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules (Greens leader Adam Bandt and Senator Mehreen Faruqi are pictured) The major parties have long complained about the influence the likes of Simon Holmes à Court wields behind the scenes amongst the Teals.  And we know the Greens have taken massive donations from the wealthy in the past, contrary to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules. Now that tangible change has been proposed, these bastions of virtue are running a mile from reforms that will curtail dark art of political donations. The Labor government isn't even seeking for these transparency rules to take effect immediately, by the way. It won't be some sort of quick-paced power play before the next election designed to catch the crossbench out. They are aiming for implementation by 2026, giving everyone enough time to absorb and understand the changes before preparing for them. Don't get me wrong, no deal has yet been done between Labor and the Coalition. I imagine the opposition want to go over the laws with a fine tooth comb. As they should - because it certainly isn't beyond Labor to include hidden one-party advantages in the proposed design which would create loopholes only the unions are capable of taking advantage of, therefore disadvantaging the Coalition electorally in the years to come. But short of such baked-in trickiness scuttling a deal to get these proposed laws implemented, the crossbench should offer their support, not cynical opposition, to what is being advocated for. They might even be able to offer something worthwhile that could be incorporated in the package. To not do so exposes their utter hypocrisy and blowhard false commentary about being in politics to 'clean things up'.
